The setting might be the “age of AI,” but the protagonist? Human creativity.

The concept is simple:

We hire five local writers to write true stories of human emotion—fear, hope, grief, joy, etc. We also feed that same prompt into generative AI to write five more true stories… well, five lies, really.

We hire local actors to perform each story as a monologue. And you won't know which is which.

Join us for an evening of writing, performance, and table discussion (fueled by snacks, beer, and wine). Together, we'll explore how the growing ubiquitousness of generative AI shapes how we encounter art, create art, relate to the artist, and connect with community.

We hope participants walk away with a more nuanced appreciation and thoughtful articulation of the preciousness of human creativity.

The evening will conclude with a talk-back from the participating writers and actors about their experience in this project.
